Okay I am going to say this is a Sandpiper and the two oof birds in the BG are Dunlins.
I am mainly going from color and bill length. Taken along the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, VA. Sony A700, 70-400G @400mm, f5.6, 1/5000, iso400, -0.7 ec, manual, HH laying in the sand slightly uphill from the birds. PP in PSE8, crop, levels, curves, usm. I removed the rump of a bird in front of the 2 oof birds and cleaned up some of the beach debris
Do you think the OOF BG birds detract from the image?

Nice image, sharp, bang on exposure...a little more head turn would have been nice but nice as is. Dunlins are bang on but front bird is a Sanderling. I might remove the black rocks, just under the bill, though but that just me....

Thank you Paul. I meant to type Sanderling, not Sandpiper. Really, I did:o
