This is another image of the juvenile Verreaux's Eagle which I photographed at a quarry in the Western Cape. I waited for more than an hour for the bird to fly, she was very unsure about flying, and the parents constantly called out to her to coax her into the air. Finally she plucked up her courage and flew from the edge of the quarry to the nest, affording me the opportunity for a few images.
