    i occasionally try stuff like this and usually end up just hitting the delete button. this one i kinda liked. do you know what kind of bird this is?:D

    Nikon D300, Sigma 50-500 at 230mm, f/6, 1/1250s, -0.7EV, ISO 200.

    Got and idea Harold but let others guess Glad you did not name the place you were photographing :D

    Isolating body parts is great I like how you included some of the side to make it recognizable !!!!

    No guesses? Dont be bashful. He's a fairly large bird that is usually found near the ocean. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

    I think it's one of those brown pelicans (but am not sure that's its name...)

    Ha, no, not really, I thought brown pelican right away but because I wasn't sure of its actual name, was just going to let someone else respond....I don't think I've ever seen a brown pelican but in the pictures people post, I always think their brown feathers lie in a manner that each is so well defined, if that makes sense. So....what do I win?? (-:

    good question, anita. i'm not quite sure. i may be able to arrange for a weeks visit with BeePNogie to the KS area with you. maybe. but i think you have to post some picks of BeeP with you!!!!:D
