I rarely get to post in Avian because I'm still only dreaming about a 500 with a TC (among other equipment on my list :) ). For now I'm stuck with my 300, which by the way, I really like. I just always find myself missing opportunities. Then again, I'm sure a bigger lens is not a cure for wanting more reach...you can always want more.
Anyway, found a great location in South Carolina over the Thanksgiving holiday. Birds everywhere. I got a few shots I like including this one of a very cooperative snowy. I like the environmental feel of this one. This is about a 40% crop with some minor sharpening and color adjustment.
