SOUTHERN RED BISHOP - BREEDING DISPLAY
A common species of our reed beds. The males dash from patch to patch and then perch and puff their breast feathers in spectacular fashion ,while uttering a sizzling song.
The females (and non-breeding males) are a drab , non -descript brown colour .
Would have wished for a better perch.
