    Photographed in harsh early morning light. Does the shadow of the head on the underside of the wing spoil it or make it more interesting?

    D300, 300 f/4 AF-S + 1.4TC.

    !SO800, 1/4000, f6.3.

    I think it makes it more interesting.
    I like the composition, but there seems to be a fair amount of noise in the darker areas, and the overall image seems a little soft. Was this underexposed and then brought up in post, or a large crop?

    The smaller shadow on the top wing bothers me more than the the one you mention. Good points by Randy and I too wonder the same things. Good comp.

    Hi Richard , I also find that the shadow adds interest. Nice wing position and HA. The other points have been noted above.
