This was taken back in January this year when I went to go and shoot some aquatic birds. Well it turned overcast, and as there werent any ducks or geese to shoot on the water, I went to the back of the hide and found these guys fluttering about the grasslands. Taken at Marievale, south of Johannesburg. The BG is as shot, OOF grassland.

Hi Stuart , nice one of this little guy, like the pose, light and exposure against that background.

Fantastic background and pose of the bird. Perhaps the blacks in the head could be a bit lighter... Great job. JR

Stuart, great capture. Love the tail. The BG is beautiful. I wish the head had not merged with the wings.
