    Default Snowy Crimson Eve

I thought I would try to do a snow themed image-I was hoping for the real stuff but it looks like I'm a week away! Here is a bird I took while waiting for a blast-off of Snow Geese in Bosque. I added a texture overlay and a David Seeram Snowstorm action. It reminded me of a Christmas card for some reason.:)

It does look like a Christmas card! Nice effect and bg texture, Denise. The pose and the sharp eyes makes it for me.

Denise, Very lovely! The snow, texture, and red color tones really give it a special feel. :)

Yes, on the Christmas card. Very nice lighting effect and great color. Great perch and head angle on the bird.

What a cutie Denise and a great Christmas card. Don't you love the diversity at Bosque? Sweet capture.

This would make a wonderful Christmas card. The pose and composition are perfect. I love the contradictory warm, warm red tones with the cold, icy snow.

Beautiful bird image! Love the warm colors. Unusual to see snow against red, but I like it.

Lovely Denise, nice capture of a female White Crowned Sparrow. In it's simplicity and muted earth tones it is very elegant.

    Well done

The surrounding color really accents the sparrow, snowflakes make it wintery...head turn nice...gentlemen we have a winner...well done

This looks awesome, Denise! I would never have thought of using this image for a snow scene but it works well.

I searched out the Snowscapes action by Dave Seeram and it does a great job. It makes adding snow almost too easy! :)

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind comments. Ken, You are right it really does make it easy. I also mad my own snow action from a tutorial that I wrote while experimenting last year-or was it the year before?? Yikes. I will see if I can find it. It gives you more control.

I love the background color and it makes a perfect card with the snow effect. The bird's pose is perfect!
