I guess most were buffaloes , It rained before we went Mara which never given us sunset & sunrise images but this shot pleased me. This image created while flying over Mara Serena lodge

Hi Harshad, this is an interesting image in terms of where you were, and it shows the river and the road, but if i had a go at this i would have rather used a 70-200mm lens and tried to get a much tighter composition with the winding river and buffalo only, leaving out the road and the featureless grass areas. Perhaps you could crop this one and give it a try. However, it shows us the habitat that you made such good use of in getting your clutch of strong African images..Just my opinion.:)
    Cheers

A very 'graphic' image Harshad and a nice departure too I guess, big congrates. Although very rich in colour, I think it works well, and overal gives a pleasing alternative POV.

I personally would go with the f/4 Harshad, the cost new for the 2.8 is way over the top. I have both and the f/4 is certainly lighter in weight and very good quality wise. If it was next year I was going to be in the Mara you could have tested it my friend, just need to wait a little longer. :D

Harshad - amazing how green it is. Good suggestions above about going tighter next time but this is well spotted and it also looks like you had nice clean windows on the plane.

    Harshad,

I have to say that this just does not work for me you are far to high in the air and the windows will undoubtedly spoil the IQ.

You need one of Marc's balloons:D

I don't think I will be able to afford it in coming future. Balloon ride price is my return air fare from Mumbai :p

    Harshad,

Just looked it up $500 per person, I would prefer a private vehicle:)

Nice to see the wide landscape with all the critters for those of us that have never been there. Good advice given above.

Now this is something I would like to see. You are very fortunate to see this first hand.

Nice to see a different perspective of the areas we get to shoot in. Green's my favorite color so I'm liking this one.

I like it "as -is". Well executed.
