    Default Wood Duck In Flight

Met up with Doug Brown @ the Zoo on Monday. As mentioned, light condition was not really great.
Doug: Thank you for meeting up.

It was my first time photographing wood ducks.

Not bad for your first time photographing Wood Ducks! I'd like to see this one a little larger; remember that you can post 1024 pixels wide. I might go a little brighter on the bird. Thanks again for lunch! Also, could you please post your EXIF data? Thanks!
Upcoming Workshops: Bosque del Apache 2019, Ecuador 2020 (details coming soon)

I agree with Doug re the exposure but think that the pose and apparent sharpness is pretty darn good. A bit higher in the frame would be preferable though... JR

Wow, ISO 2500! Thanks for reminding me once again what that D3S is capable of.

Nicely done, Troy! Great head angle and wing position, and looks sharp to me with good wing detail (would like to see it larger).

Good landing posture Troy, and the colours look good. I like the BG too.

LOVE the position of the duck, Troy, with those swept back wings and stretch of the body.
