Taken while on Robert Amaruso's Wildscape Images East Central Florida PIW this past weekend. Location was Merritt Island NWR -Black Point Wildlife Drive. The reddish egret was fishing by Running, and flapping its wings. It did catch a large fish.

    Hi Myer,

Nice light and wing position. The postprocessing looks a little too contrasty and harsh to me. I would keep a bit more space on the right side of the frame (if you have any left), or crop down to a vertical.
Pretty cold in Florida now. Hope you had a great time. Look forward to see you again.

    Regards,
    Clemens

Love the pose Myer! The light looks good, but I would probably back off on image contrast just a little. I think some additional sharpening would help, and I might crop off the left for a more vertical composition.

Looks better Myer! I would add just a bit of canvas on the left, and I'd skip the blurring that you applied to the water.

Fantastic pose and wing position. Re-post is an improvement.

Great situation, composition and lighting. But I agree with the others that something might be off in post processing... JR
