Taken early morning in a nature reserve close to my house last weekend. Im not happy with the angle of light, but you cant get them to pose into the light.:)

Stuart - this needed a cuteness alert! Looks like the zebra was still a little unsteady on its feet. I don't mind the light angle and you still managed to capture good detail. I like the comp with the tree off in the distance.

Cute little one. You did pretty well with the light and plenty of sharpness. I would be tempted to take a little off the top and right without losing the tree, just takes it a bit more out of center.

Wow such a sweet looking foal. I really like the background. I agree with you that a bit more light would be nice but still a nice image.

    Hi Stuart,
This one is a cutie alright. Light angle works for me since you did a nice job of keeping detail on the shaded side. I also like the changes from grass to distant hills in the FG/BG. I suspect this was taken on a slight slope but using the tree in the BG as a guide I think its needs a touch of CW rotation?

Hi Stuart, a real cutey and nice to see.

Would agree on trying to take it off central and for me, it does look a little vibrant on saturation, but that might be the light? One thing you might like to do is just lighten the foal (only) a little in curves. It helps to bring out the detail & shadows less.

Couldn't be more than a few days old Stuart, well done, like the BG also.

    Stuart,

    This works for me.

If this is how it was then I would leave it as is.

Thanks a stack for the feedback. Always appreciated.

Todd, I agree the little guy is too central, but I also wanted to leave the tree with a tad of space.

Steve C, caught me out with regards to the rotation :) Never picked it up, and Im normally pretty sharp with those things. Its been a long year.:)
