With the right wind direction and light angle, I thoroughly enjoy photographing the Snow Geese as they take off and land at the Bosque. This image is almost full frame.

Hand held? Wow nice work. You can see the struggle to take off in the bird's face and body. Well captured.

Impressive shot, especially with such an annoyingly difficult exposure

Doug, this is awesome. Terrific wing position, bird angle, light and whites. Loved the feet down pose.

Beautiful image with great exposure & sharpness. I like the wing position & the BG. HH a 600mm? Impressive. Do you lift weights?

Beautiful, Doug. I like the detail in the head, neck, wings and especially the feet. Great soft BG.

Well, that's just great. Exposure, sharpness, lovely background and pose of course. And handheld at 600*1.4*1.3??? You're such a poser. :)

PS: maybe just a bit tight...

    looks great against it.

Doug, I like the landing posture with the swept back wings. Good exposure throughout, sharp, and I like the smooth BG. Must be fun to have endless opportunities to shoot these guys.
