    I took this in-camera blur in Bosque. The blackbirds kept taking flight and allowed for some great experiments.
    I liked the 3 Snow Geese at the top.

    Denise, this is a very cool looking blur. The snow geese do look great and I love how the trees have blurred also. very nice work!

    Good one! Great colors. I like the shape of the blur and how it repeats in the geese, bb's and trees. Why are the bb's in the middle top of the flock not as blurred? Is it the angle they are flying? Or speed? Or ???

    Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
    Patti, I think that the birds are moving slower in that area -going into a circular motion.:)

    Denise, this is so cool... I love the modern art look of the geese and the nice flock of blackbirds. Sweet fall Bosque colors.

    Patti, the birds are flying in a large arc. The ones that are flying directly toward Denise's camera don't appear to move as much as the ones flying parallel to the camera's sensor.

    Ah, thanks for the explanation Denise and Kerry. It makes sense. I though it might have something to do with the way they alter speed and direction when flying in these large formations. It always looks so chaotic to me, but they never seem to even touch a wing - amazing.

    Hi Denise;

    Marvelous the way you did it in camera to get all the blurred motion, even the trees that I assume are not moving a lot. Is it all explained in You & Artie's Blur Book?

    You have come a long way, Young Lady.

    Thank you everyone for your kind comments.
    Gus, I sure do appreciate the kind words. Yes, All of the techniques that Artie and I use to create the blurs that you've seen are covered in the Blur Guide. I just panned slowly with the birds for this one.:)

    Denise, I like the three snow geese, they look like paper falling through the air. I also like the effect of the trees in the FG. Interesting settings.
