I like the pose, the head angle of the bird, the pearch is fantastic. The background is perfect. Looks like perhaps we cloned something out on the middle right side of the photograph?

Awesome work as always, Alan. Everything looks perfect to me.
It's so hard to find them on anything but barbed wire or power cables. Must be difficult to attract them to a setup.

TFS - That is a fantastic shot! Only nit is the flower merged with the tail. What kind of flower is that, and how did you attract it to the perch?

I agree in that everything looks great, clean background, good exposure, nice HA, and a great perch, just print it.

Hey Patrick, no idea on the name of the flower. As for how I got the bird on the perch. Check out this blog post I did on it. http://alanmurphyphotography.com/blog/?p=382

Alan you are just too good! Such a simple solution to creating great photos. Definitely falls into that "why didn't I think of that" category.

Alan, as stunning as they come. Such a terrific perch and vertical is the way to go with this species. good call on leaving that clipped flower at the bottom. IMO, it makes the shot look natural :-)

Such a beautiful bird - well captured! The composition with the flowers leading you up to the bird is simply perfect.
