    Default Kildeer on Ice

I used a nice texture with snow and a blue background plus added more snow on the image after simplifying it a bit with Topaz Clean.

Sweet Judy! I like the ice! Beautiful colors and the topaz looks good. A slight head turn would be great also but this is lovely as presented.:)

Judy, beautifully done. I love the colors - it reminds me of a Currier & Ives print.:)

Very nice for the theme Judy, love the colors and effects. Well done! The foliage on this bird makes them look like they are worried all the time, this one is concerned about how cold that ice is... :D I would suggest a slight levels adjust on the mid tones to bring up the level on the bird a tad.

Nice!! Love the blue BG and the snow. It looks very realistic. The bird looks like it is walking on ice! Well done!

    Thanks Kerry.

    Foliage??

I reworked the image and brought up the midtones a little as they didn't look much too dark on my monitor, and tweaked contrast too and increased opacity of the snow layer for more of a snow effect.

Thanks Anita! Yes it is walking on ice. It has been many, many years, probably 30, since it was cold enough here in Mississippi for large lakes to freeze but it happened last January and they stayed frozen for several days. This was made at a concrete boat ramp and the bird was just steps away from the edge of the ice. I posted another image in the past of it coming out onto the ramp, stepping over debris pushed up by the ice.

    Judy,
    You added the snow? How?
it certainly doesn't look added. Looks very realistic.

I used this tutorial. It's easy to do and doesn't take long. http://www.photoshopessentials.com/p...hotoshop-snow/
