    Default Project: SUPERSIZE Me !!!

Since this project theme was my idea, I should probably contribute an image. I spent a week in Florida early this year with my wife and Jim Neiger. We were photographing a Bald Eagle nest and observed an adult repeatedly taking small pieces of meat from some prey on the ground up to the nest. The grass was a little tall, so we couldn't actually see the prey. Imagine our shock when the Eagle finally got airborne and brought the entire meal up to the nest!

Doug, firstly, well done for not cutting off the prey. Intense concentration from the eagle, good wingspread, and overall well exposed, considering the difficult BG. I like the sharpness in this too. What was the prey? Very well captured.

Fantastic capture of a moment of high drama, Doug.

The turn angle, the swaying prey, the eye and those claws -- OK if I too say WOW?!?

What a shot! WOW TOO!!! I noticed a horizontal line just below the prey's nose. Excellent wingspan and the light really works on the belly and danglin innards!

WOW as well. Exposure spot on as mentioned, like the detail on the front edges of the wing and face and also the fanned tail feathers. I also like the way you have managed the background.

Hey, Doug. Great exposure and sharpness, and I love the habitat included, which really adds to the picture here IMO.

    Cheers,
