Fearsome characters in their habitat. This fellow looks fairly big. What is his meal Ken?

    Stuart,

I do have some earlier shots with a partially intact body. it is not really clear, but to me it looks more like an Impalla rather than a Thompson's Gazelle

Great head angle and that together with the rushing water really conveys the action in this image. Also the eyes and teeth as portrayed really show the malevolent aspect of these crocs. Looks like to had to overcome some tough light - you succeeded nicely.

Ken - I like the action this portrays with the rushing water and splash an added benefit. Nice pose on the croc too. looks like the light was harsh, was this midday?

Nice look at those teeth. Nice action portrayed with the chunk of meat and the swirling water. Seems a bit bright but handled pretty well.

nice drama here Ken, I like how the crocodile's colour makes him "pop" nicely from a busy scene. having him turned more towards you would have helped improve this... :)

    Thanks for your comments

    Rachel,
The time is shown as 18.15, which is SA time. I do not think this can be right.

    Morkel,
I agree on the angle infortunately the banks of the Mara are not exactly the best place to shift your vehicle:D

Very dramatic image! Really like turbulent water around the crocodile and the flesh in the mouth.
