Waterfall is a recurring subject in Asian painting. This one is an image from Northern Thailand taken sometime in early '90s. I scanned the negative and applied multiple Topaz filters and then used layer masks to open up the underlying colors. Hope you like it...

Wow. I love this! The treatment is so painterly. The splash of orange really makes it. I just wish he was standing over to the left instead of centered.

Very lovely scene and painterly feel, Indranil. I like how the man provides scale for the waterfalls and how the tree branches frame the scene. I agree with Patti that it would have been nice if the man was standing to the left more. Beautiful work.

Indranil, Really nice image. I like the processing and I agree I wish he were a bit less centered but I like that he is wearing red and that he is standing at the base of the large waterfall. I might take a little off the top if it were mine. But let's see what others say. Nicely done.:)

Indranil, I love the saffron robes of the monk contrasting with the grays and greens and the fact that he looks so insignificant in the midst of the waterfalls. It has a very contemplative feel to it. It would be nice if he were less centered but maybe he is "centered" so it would be appropriate:)

I really like the treatment and the placement of the Monk! I see that you didn't include the "weekly theme" in the title but this seems to qualify so I will throw it in the mix! Nice work!

That pop of orange on the monk...FABULOUS! Wow, does that ever draw your eye right through the image. And seeing him in scale compared to this waterfall - this works on all accounts for me.

I can see maybe a very thin slice off the top but love everything about this one. Super image, Indranil!
