    Dancin' with the Cranes

    Took my big lens out of the closet and headed out to Sarasota to check out the crane action. Was not disappointed. Taken at the Celery Fields in Sarasota, Florida last weekend under cloudy skies about 45 minutes before sunset.

    Aperture f/5.6
    Focal Length 700 mm
    Exposure Bias 0 EV
    ISO Speed 800
    580ex II + better beamer

    Hi Michael,

    I like this one, the colors are soft, the focus is good and the way the bird is turned looking back is cool. I might consider brightening and sharpening the eye/head a little and perhaps getting rid of some of the stems in the water.

    Where are the celery fields in Sarasota? I moved my daughter there in September and I might visit sometime this winter. I would love a chance at some Sandhill shots.

    Here's a link to the fields. If you go to my image on Flickr I have it geotagged. The sandhills are typically in the South fields.

    I like this one alot, feather detail and the BG, I like how the colors are all muted yet the Crane just separates from the BG. TFS
