    Welcome Tejas, nice first post. I fixed the link for you...you need to paste the image's URL in the "Insert image" box (the icon is square with a tree). Please include the techs too as this can help with the critiques and suggestions:).

    Greatlow angle, and nice warm light. Contrast is a touch strong, and I wish the light was even on the face. At 398mm you must have been close!

    Tejas, Welcome! and Congratulations on a super first post. One of these owls visits a field not to far from me but never appears until just as it gets too dark to capture - so I'm envious of your success. Face is nice and sharp (although I agree with Daniel that even lighting might have improved it a bit). There seems to be a little motion blur in other places - tech info would be useful. Still, a really nice capture.

    Lovely first post Tejas, beautiful Owl with good eye contact and nice low angle. Good pointer from Daniel re contrast and also maybe a little less saturation.
