I originally posted this in color as a blurred image. I added a dry brush filter and Nik>Silver Efex>Antique Plate to get the look I wanted. Added kanji that is supposed to mean "reflection" and my chop and a slight frame.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.:)

Perfect for the theme Cheryl, I remember this one. It has a real artsy feel to it. It looks as if it had been hand painted. Nicely done.

Really nice Cheryl! I like everything here! The only change that I would make is to run the calligraphy vertically as I believe it should read from top to bottom!

Hi Cheryl, nice tones and the reeds look like they are brushed. Good work. I like the composition and would suggest cleaning up the bottom margin just a tad with a little more fade, so nothing is touching the frame.

I had time this morning to rework several of my images I posted this week based on people's suggestions. I changed the writing on this version.

I agree with everything that has been said, but mostly I just really like this. It is so simple, yet so powerful. I prefer the characters in horizontal compositionally, but can't argue with the calligraphy orientation policeman. Dan knows best. :):p

This repost is much better with the calligraphy vertical! I see the faded reeds now in the lower left and it would be an improvement if they were evicted but this is your piece and a good one at that!

Very nice oriental feel to this one, Cheryl! Simple, elegant, and relaxing, and the repost improves it 100%. :)

Nice. I especially like the simplicity of the colors. The image fits the theme well. In a perfect world, the distinction between reed and reflection--the point where reed meets water--would be a bit more noticeable. Nice work.
