Nice composition Sid, and I like the green BG. Good underwing detail. I might tone down the whites on top of the head.

    Sid:
Looks like he had the typical head snack on the fly. Interesting to see the line dangling behind.
Nice underwing detail, agree with Doug about the whites on neck.

I could see a bit more room to the left, but presents well as is.

    Cheers

    Hi Sid,

One of the rare osprey images that I really enjoyed. I don't know what it is about this species that always seems so non-photogenic.....maybe it's just me......but you have a real dandy here and I got a kick out of it. Sharp as always and beautiful eye contact. Thanks.

Sid, Superb comp, detail and pose. I am really enjoying this image. Bg is gorgeous too.
At iso 1000, is the 7D this clean or was NR applied on the BG?
Fantastic work as alway. Thanks for sharing.

Neat pose, and I like the translucent feathers on the far wing. I'd likely either eliminate or tone down some of the lighter white areas in the BG (otherwise the BG rocks, great colours!!). I'm seeing a slight bluish cast to the plumage...I checked in PS and sure enough sliding the blue channel all the way down in Saturation got rid of it...

Sid, I like the flying posture with the full show of the wings, together with his headless catch. Nice and sharp, and I like the detail in this.

Sharpness and posture spot on Sid! Agree on slight toning down of whites on the head?
