Saw this little bird for the first time in Wakodathachee Wetlands.
There were several of them in the area. Looks like a Flycatcher. Is this right?

    Techs:

    Canon EOS 50D, F/8, 1/1250sec, ISO-640, 400mm, Spot, Manual.

    Thanks.

Yes, it's an Eastern Phoebe. Salient field marks are the dark cap, lack of eye ring, and no real wing bars.

FYI, when you have an ID question in the future, there is a special forum here for that called Avian: Identification, Behavior, and Nomenclature.

    Agreed on Eastern Phoebe.

Thread copied to Avian: Identification, Behavior, and Nomenclature as it could help others in IDing this guy...

Exposure looks good, but with some whites needing toning down - easy using the burn tool judiciously. Busy BG (these guys love the busy settings sometimes eh!), and the subject could use some sharpening as posted but the image served its purpose...that is to give you a positive ID. Good profile pose.
