    This is the same bull in the "Rimlight" thread. Here is is moving up to check the receptiveness of one of his cows. This gives you a look at his impressive rack. YNP, during the rut in late afternoon.
    D300, 400 2.8 w/1.4tc, f4, 1/400, iso1000, man exp.

    Hi Todd, this shows the surrounding enviroment nicely. I would really like to see a close up of those enormous antlers.

    nice show of the environment indeed - what a rack! I do wish the female's head was raised, Todd :)
    have you thought about shaving a tad off the top?

    Sorry to disagree with the others but would like to see a tighter crop and not be so distracted by the background. From me, the expression on his face with a smaller sense of his environment tells the story. Can you crop this image any further or would this detract from the quality?

    Deborah, no problem with the disagreement (thats what makes the world go round). This is nearly full frame, but I have many other images of this guy with a bit less in the bg. Elk just seem to love the thick stuff that it isn't always easy to have clean bg.
