Beautiful composition, Alan. I love the light and the open beak pose. Nice colors.
Looks extremely natural, Alan. Terrific balance and singing pose. Great use of lines. You rock..
Great shot Alan. Out of interest, is this a set up perch? I ask because having read your bog I'm hoping to try more set ups in the future.
If I was to really try and nit pick at your image here, I might see if toning down the perch immediately below the bird's lower foot was an improvement, and consider removing the few pine needle tips poking into the image on the right hand side, but like I say, that's really trying hard to nit pick.
Super image, Alan (as usual). Great singing pose and colors; and the warbler perched exactly where you told him to.

Love the shot as is...
Another beautiful image, Alan. Composition and techs superb as always. I look forward to meeting you at the NANPA Summit. I am already signed up for your set-up workshop.
Between the full-song pose and the pine needle "fireworks" this is quite a dynamic image! Lower mandible suffering a bit from movement, shows you how fast the bills move when singing:p
Love the bird, the singing pose, the BKGR, and the set-up. Good catch by Dan on the motion blur at the tip of the lower mandible.

Just fantastic colors, pose, and sharpness. It's great to see that your planning of the setup pays off so handsomely... JR
Hey Alan,
This little guy is letting it rip...song wise. I always love pine tree perches and this is not exception. Perfect exposure, as always, and a nice composition.

Nice Alan. I enjoy the singing pose, and have no issue with the slight mandible movement, expected at 1/125. Might consider removing the needle that overlaps the wing on the right side, and the two bright needles directly below - otherwise, it's perfectly framed by the perch.
Wish it were mine.
Great photo Alan, I'm now trying some setup's...hopping my photos one day will be as good as your's :o
Just ridiculous....I hate you.... :p
Alan, beautiful image. Just love the comp.
Cheers,

Great image Alan. Can't wait for these guys to start showing up for the winter here in Northeast Texas.
