I know you are on a quest Harshad, and I am sure, no doubt, you will come back with some stunners.

High in the tree canopy was 'Beauty' waiting patiently for the small pride of lions below to either move on or fall asleep. She had been there all day and quietly slipped off shortly after this shot was taken. The highlights for me are part & parcel of the dappled light coming through, so quite happy with that, as it's part of the habitat environment.

Fine portrait and pose here Steve, I am seeing a distinct yellow/green cast on Beauty and trunk.
Took the liberty of a fix here, I've had plenty of practice on this issue of late as you know.:D

Hi Steve, I really like this image with the pose & perspective. I like how the branch anchors the image & shows the habitat. The eyes are beautiful. I agree about the color cast.

    Marc,

    Well spotted:)

Repost is better, whilst shade is a natural part of Leopards day, I find it interferes too much here.

    Hi Marc, no worries.

As this section is a 'Critique' one, that is what it is all about and any suggestions, advice, comments are good, although some may disagree. I agree, there was a cast in there and I think what you have done is the ideal scenario. Would be useful to expand on your technique for others to learn from.

Nice sighting and pose. Lighting handled well it does not bother me. Agree with cast and Marcs repost took care of it, would like just a bit more sat in the cat for my taste. Well done.

    Good point
I used the white neutralizer in Nik Color Efix Pro 3.

Ahh, that blows that out of the question Marc for most of us, although it's on offer at present. :D

I was hoping it was a neat trick in PS, hey ho, but thanks Marc, always learning new stuff.

like the composition and dappled light here Steve...I too noted the cast in the OP but to my eye Marc's repost has a very slight blue/magenta cast to it.

I would just use Color Balance in PS and play around with that - if it's too much green, move the slider away from green for shadows, midtones and highlights separately with about 2-3 points :)
(this is now for those without Nik Color Efex ;))

Thanks Morkel, completely overlooked that one, seems to work well. Who said you can teach an old dog new tricks. :)

Agree with Morkel that the repost has a slight magenta cast showing up on the edges of the highlights. Love the inquisitive pose and the dappled light works for me. I like the fact that the sky can be seen through the leaves and has kept its' blue colour.

I try to remember that there is a colour cast in the shadows, especially of trees like this and over compensating to get a neutral colour can sometimes end up looking slightly un-natural.

Tough to comment on colors given personal preferences, interpretation, monitor calibrations, etc but I like the color of the leopard and leaves in the OP (with a slight reduction in yellow/green) but the tree trunk in the repost.

Hi Steve, always great to capture any leopard unobstructed in a tree. She has her eyes on something, which you have captured nicely. I would play with colour balance here until to find a happy medium.

All color corrections noted, this is a nice example of how a difficult dappled light scene can actually work out very well. Lovely pose.
