Ringed Neck Duck at the wigeon pond at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Soccoro NM. Although there were very many American widgeon's present, this was only the ringed-neck duck present. Taken from the bridge at the pond. Nikon D3S, 500 F4 with 1.4 telly converter, 1/1250 F8 ISO 640. Slight crop in Photoshop with curve adjustment and Tim Grey's dodge and burn.

Hi Myer. Enjoyed meeting you at the Bosque last weekend. The pose is nice, and I know a lower shooting angle isn't easy to get at the Wigeon pond. I think another round of sharpening on the bird would help.

Myer, Thanks again for joining us. The sharpened repost is a huge improvement. It looks as if you forgot to sharpen the image in Pane #1. Do you have any vision problems? You did a good job with a difficult exposure and I like the framing.

Second post looks great. Great duck to see since we do not get the chance to shoot them around here. I am sure the black and whites have there challenges. I like the detail you pulled out in the gray on the sides. TFS

Hi Myer, The reason that I asked was that I assumed that you would look at the posted image after it loads.... :)
