Fantastic shot! I love how the shadows define the tail feathers giving it depth. Foreground and background are just awesome. Also like how the sun light just lets the eye be seen with a great catch light. Congrats!

Exposure and detail in the white is just superb! Judging from the specs there must have been much movement going on. DOF is sheer perfection. The space to the right works for me too.

    Ignacio:

I've never seen this species but similar to our prairie chicken here in Missouri. You description is apt and your image is wonderful. My favorite part is the way you just caught the eye peaking out. I agree with the above that the whites are so sweet on this one. The little flowers in the surrounding area really add some beauty to the image as well and the composition is perfect for my taste. Just a lovely shot. Thanks.

    Ignacio,

I have never seen this either, though I understand it has recently been reintroduced to UK.

A remarkable capture is all I can add to the prior comments.

Ditto Pieter. I would love to see a sequence so that I could attempt to figure out which end is which :) Are we seeing the inflated chest and the wings?????

Ignacio this is a spectacular image of a spectacular species. Light is lovely, angle is lovely and the story as well. Well done! Might consider removing the flower directly in front of the breast.
