    Hi,
I'm lucky enough to have these in my area, introduced 8 years ago they have done very well.
This one was taken with a nikon D300s, ISO upped to 400, on aperture priority, F/5.6.
    Lens was a 300mm F/2.8 VR with a 1.7TC.

Very well done. Sharp with a lot of detail (but bird looking bluish).
I hope they can introduce some of these here also :).

Beautiful pose and nice details. Great eye contact too. I see a little blueish color on the bird but not much. Composition might be stronger if bird placed in upper right hand portion of frame, if possible. Very nicely captured, though.

Hi Gary, thanks for commenting, snowed here in UK hence the cold blue light, it's nice as acts as a huge reflector.
Agree with composition suggestion, thanks for that.

Beautiful bird, great look, and I like the repost. I might be tempted to try setting a white point on the bird, but that might change it from the way you saw it in the field. Great shot.

Love that intense stare and the perfect lighting to reveal all the underwing detail. Gorgeous bird.

I like the balance in the repost better. Loved the stare and underwing details. If mine, I'd desat the blue in the sky a bit....and probably lighten the shot a bit...1/3rd stop perhaps. NR on the BG will make this better as well.

Great detail, pose and eye contact. In Spain these birds are quite common, but it would be impossible to get such a close shot with a 300mm! (Too much hunting...)

I also like the repost better; agree that a litttle noise reduction would improve the sky.

One of the coolest poses in flight I've seen at BPN.....very inspirational.....I'm going to be watching for this pose. Beautiful shot.

Very nice pose and perfect lighting. It helps you to reveal underwing detail.
It hurts me to hear that these magnificent birds are common in some places since they are so rare here in Greece ...
