Harshad, if this was harsh light then you have handled it well, everything looks nice & soft so well done, did you get the chase? .....

    Harshad,

What a beauty, I might see if lightening the eyes a little improves it even more.

Do you have any more space below Tommy's hooves?

Harshad, you've done a great job with the light and nice dof. Perhaps the white belly of the thommy is lacking detail but that is minor in the overall scheme of things.

Hi Harshad, what a nice cheetah shot. Good detail, good colour, BG is okay, and I really like the contrast between the spots of the cheetah and the stripes on the gazelle. There is also a story conveyed here of predator and prey. Well composed and taken. You didnt put shutter speed in your info, trust it wasn't 1/40sec:). Only kidding...
    cheers

    Hi Harshad

Have you tried opening it up in Bridge?
All the exif details will/should be there also.

    Cheers
    Marc

Harshad, if this is harsh light I will take it anytime.

Good detail & colour and yes, a bit more FG would have been ideal, but hey, that's life. :)

Wonderfully captured Harshad, yes more room below would have been ideal - but that just gives us all the more reason to return:D. Nice soft light with good detail showing.

Very dramatic! The soft light really brings out some nice details. You can almost hear the cheetah catching it's breath!

    Harshad,

Good composition but I realize the FG had to be sacrificed due to your closeness. I would recommend here that you could have made this image and then panned down for more FG and stitched the two images together later.

I have done this a lot when I photographed bears in Alaska.

The light looks excellent to me Harshad, no deep shadows that I can tell.
I agree it is a little tight in the frame.

Ref. cubs, I too have heard recently that all six are still doing well.

Did you get any of the cubs running back to mum once she called them for dinner?

    Cheers

    Austin

Bhai this is an excellent cheetah shot...lovely IQ, can see it's about full frame...
if anything I would have liked a tad less space on RHS and more on LHS :)

it's amazing to hear about so many cheetahs doing well with large litters these days...I've seen many images of Shingu's brood, and Charlize in the Kgalagadi has 4 who are nearing adulthood!

    HB,

This is one of my favorite Harshad images ever. I'm also amazed at how beautiful it looks in the harsh light you mention. Man, I can really see this one in a magazine. Fantastic, my friend.

Beautiful pic Harshad. Shows the harsh side of nature without the blood and gore that some find unpleasant. The gazelle lying at her feet without visible blood is like a classic murder mystery movie where they don't show exactly what happens to the victim but the viewer just knows. Techs are spot on.
