    Default Long Winter Ahead!

    7D, iso 500, 1/2000, f/8, 500 mm.

Taken this morning. A few frames after this he fell through. The ice was thick enough to hold their weight in certain points, this was one of them.

Thanks for checking it out and all advice appreciated!

    Gary:

The light sure was wonderful with all the fill off the ice.
Excellent exposure, sharp, good DOF, looks like he is trying to maintain his balance! I like how he is using his tail for extra support.

There is a subtle change in the profile on the back of his head. Perhaps just roughed up feathers there?

Please don't tell me the eagle landed on the ice after I left!!

    Cheers

Maybe it came from bashing his way through the ice over and over?
