These fly boys were practicing formation at Crandon Gardens in Key Biscayne today at 15:00 hours. They were spotted with a Nikon D200 using a Nikkor 18-200mm VR f/3.5-5.6G
focal length 200mm / exposure mode aperture / 1/750sec - f/9 / matrix metering / ISO - 320
WB set to auto / exposure comp at 0EV / color mode sRGB / hue adjustment at 0 / AF mode set to AF-C / tracking closest subject.
gus i see some funky halos, silhouettes or something going on up there. i like the flight shot. wish there was some separation between the front two. exposure looks pretty good.
i got the 18-200VR today!!! will see you in the am at the trail!!
looks like a toss up for vertical or horizontal.
Nice comp for horiz with bottom bird removed and nice for vert with top right two removed.
Oops, that's a lot of alteration, so may be a poor suggestion
I like the second much better Gus In images like this you want to follow the birds and shoot when the spacing is there You don't want to have overlaps and you also want wimng positions as in individual birds Up or Down wings !! Not easy !!!
Yeah Gus, the second one is much better. But you can still see some (as Harold says?funky halos or something up there.
But a much better shot. Let me know how you guys did at Anhinga this morning. As you can see I ended up doing nothing!!!!!
