    He returned about an hour later, no shadow falling over him this time, and I was also a little closer (resulting in a smaller crop). Taken at just before 5pm, 420mm f/7.1, iso 640, exp time 1/500.

    Much stronger image, Johan! Nice head turn and catch light and much better detail. If this were mine, I'd clone out the small white spots on the branch.

    Nice to see without the shadow.

    I like the dof and look back pose.

    And still a very interesting bird.


    Image quality is also much better.

    Johan, I like the look back pose and the HA looks good. I think you did a good job with this one. Nice details and well exposed.
