This handsome male was quite animated and since it was just before Thanksgiving, it suggested the title to me.

Local bird sanctuary, fairly early morning. Always nice to get the green head to show up pretty evenly.

    Advice always appreciated.

The green does look nice...I think you forgot to show the female a little in the front to the left.:) Exposure looks perfect, also like the tones of the background. TFS

Nice title!! A perfect portrait of this guy. Great warm light, low angle, and pose!

Nice one, Randy. Although our most common duck, nothing can compete with that green, iridescent head. I also love the little curlicue on his tail. Missouri duck hunters call drake mallards "pigs" and this a good example of one. This image isn't quite as buttery smooth as your other images, perhaps from ISO 1000.....not sure. Take care.

    Randy,

Great shot, like the contrast in the water created by the duck's wake.

Randy, this is very nice. I love the early morning light on the bird. The open bill is a definite plus. Well done!
