    This male Siskin (Carduelis spinus) was taken at the same session as my earlier Willow warbler post. 80% of full frame.

    D200+MB-D200 with AF-S 300/2.8 and 2x TC on Gitzo tripod and Manfrotto 393 gimbal.

    Nice capture Daniel. The perch is not all that attractive in my view and a bit dominant in the frame, so I might crop a bit tighter on that pretty bird.

    Although I realize you might want to keep the lichen in the image I still would crop to right above where to awkwardly broken branch ends. A striking bird that could have done you a favor by turning it's head more towards the camera!
