One of the pups at the Kwando Lagoon Den July 2007.

An old image taken in deep shade, I have seen what I could do with this utilising the thousands of tips I have picked up here. Tried the free download of Topaz In Focus what do you think?

I really like this image Ken. Its sharp, well exposed with good processing. I think the perspective is excellent & I like the intent look on the pup's face. Those ears are marvelous. I also like the detritus clinging to his/her fur. A neat image.

    Hi Ken,

Always one of my favorites subjects at BPN and you've made an image almost like a pet portrait here. As mentioned, the ears are great! The image is not very punchy but that is probably due to the deep shade you described instead of the technical transfer artifacts. Either way, I'm glad you shared it.

Interesting low perspective Ken, and wondering where you were to have captured this low angle. Good attentive stare, and those ears are priceless. Is there a slight blue cast in this?

Ken - nice POV and the ears are great. Perhaps a boost of contrast might punch it up?

great cuteness factor here Ken! lovely alert pose, DOF and details. I would sharpen the face just a notch more, and maybe desaturate the blue and green channels a bit? what do you think?

Great pose! Like the outstretched paws and the leaves pup. Nice low angle as well.

Agree with above comments, plus I like how the WD BG blends in very nicely.

Definitely worth working on with the new knowledge and tools. Lowering the mid tones and removing the blue cast makes this pop a bit. Nice low angle.

Looks good here. A touch more contrast and a tweak of the blues is all that's needed for me.

Thanks for the comments and useful tips, how I missed the blue cast I will never know!

    Stuart,

A bit of a long time ago to remember but I think that the vehicle was on slightly lower ground (towards river) and in those days I could probably bend a bit better.

    Here is a repost

How are they doing, Lagoon has been the best place for Wild Dog sightings for a very long time.

Cute, intimate pup pose here. The repost looks much better for color. TFS, Ken.
