    Dear Bill, a very nice image. Excellent focus and the movement of the right foot is great as is the catchlight in the eye.
    However, it appears a little underexposed. Maybe you need not have reduced by 1/3 stop.

    I prefere the second post to the first, nice action with the raised foot.

    I too prefer the second, including the added color on the bird (intentional or not). A slight sharpening halo is visible around the bill.

    You're off and running, Bill! Very nice work. The repost is much better than the first. I wish the dark lines in the water weren't coming out of the birds tail feathers.
