While I'm on the furbearer theme, I'm posting another look at a muskrat that I photographed in a wetland at the conservation area where I work last spring. It has the cutest little hand....not!:) Thanks.

    Danny,

What a delightful shot, great detail and light. A slight pity that the eye was not a little more open, but then I suspect that closed or partly closed eyes are probably normal whilst scratching.

Beautiful lighting here Danny, bringing out some nice detail in the coat.

Great shot Danny, perfect detail, sharp and the colour looks spot on.

Personally I would like a bit more space to the sides and above if possible.

Hi Danny, yet another from your excellent series of lesser photographed creatures. Like the texture of the fur, sharp detail and exposure. The scratching claw is an added bonus. Really cute shot, you have to wonder what he or she is thinking. Well done here, I saw muskrat on a visit to Alaska, but they were away long before I could get a pic. If you have a little more space around it might be worth trying out...as Steve suggested.
    What is next?

Fantastic detail Danny, and I like the almost complete circular shape. The scratching behaviour puts this over the top. Great capture.

Danny - Well done. Great detail, POV and pose. I agree with Steve and Grant that I'd like a little more room all around.

Great low angle and light. Really like the front foot on the face.

Nice shot Danny. I like the central location of the eye and the way the fur radiates out from that point. Of course I like the claw too. Maybe he's trying to read your thoughts.

Remarkable image, Danny! Graphic round pose, perfect angle, details, and the pensive claw. Great job on a looked over species.
