Rumor has it that the refuge has a new chief ...

Today was really cold in Bosque and all clothing accessories were welcome.
In between the photography sessions, we enjoyed a warm meal to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Thank you Arthur for a lovely day and a great workshop.

Good one Peter! I've been watching the weather reports for Socorro and I see that it has been very cold there. Stay warm guys!

How cold was it actually at Bosque? :)

When my wife Linda and I were Physiological Chemistry graduate students at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, we once cross-country skied to our laboratories. And when we entered our labs, we experienced more than a 100 degree Fahrenheit temperature change.

If you want to know what cold really is, go to Wisconsin!

From what I recall it was 20F, but with a 6BF northern wind. Standing behind a camera will get pretty chilly after a while, even in warm clothes.

I do believe you that there are places in the US that can get much worse than this ...

Thanks Peter. I like it. Especially the title :) We had several morning lows ranging from 9 to 17 degrees F. Plus a bit of wind. Coldest that I have been was -5 F in Homer.... Not the coldest places in the world but cold enough for me :)
