    Default Grasses

This is one of the first pans I've done. I panned up along the grasses in our meadow.

Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm macro, 1/2 sec., f36, ISO 100, light overcast day.

I played around with the Gradient tool for the first time. Added a couple of high pass sharpenings with different blend modes and opacities, basic adjustments, duplicate layer with soft light blend mode, small crop.

    C & C always appreciated

Absolutely LOVELY, Anita! I took a horizontal image like this one just a while ago but it didn't turn out near the nice. I really do like the criss/cross action of the grasses and the bit of green peeking through. Good stuff!

Thanks!!! I tried some horizontal pans also, and they didn't turn out as well either.

Anita, Really beautiful colors and blur. I like the texture and feel that it adds so much to the image. Nicely done.

Agree with Julie on the cross-hatch pattern, which really adds interest to the image. Great colors and I like the lighting in the image.

Anita, I really like the patterns and colors a lot. Nicely done. I think I see 2 dust spots that look like eyes about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom that can easily be cloned out. (Or else it's my monitor)

Thanks, Cheryl. Glad you like it. Thanks also for pointing out the dust spots. They are on the image, and I've now cloned them out. Missed them the first time around. :o

Very nice work Anita. The blur and colors are super! I like this a lot. Would make a nice print.

Thank you all. It is rewarding when an experiment works out. :)
