Hi Artie, thank you and I wish you the same. Hope you are staying warm on those cold pre-dawn shoots! Say hello to Denise and the group for me!

Happy Turkey Day Artie! Probably one of the coolest head shots of a Turkey I've seen. Colors and detail just rock!

To you as well sir!
Arthur, that's a great portrait all the way around.
Cheers,
Greg Basco
Thanks all. It was finally cold this morning at Bosque. Brrrr. 25 of us just got back from a great buffet at the Hilton in ABQ. We are off to the refuge in a few. Heck, too few!

If your turkey tastes half as good as it looks it will be wonderful!
Same to you! We're just finishing our turkey leftovers from our October Thanksgiving up here:)
Pretty much a perfect turkey portrait Artie. Wonderful colours and details!
Artie:
A warm Thanksgiving greeting to you, Denise and the entire crew there.
Nice turkey, too.
Cheers
Randy
Sweet portrait of this gobbler. Happy Thanksgiving!
A warm Thanksgiving Day greeting from very warm Florida. When I see a picture this gorgeous of a turkey, it makes me glad I didn't have any for dinner.
Hi Artie,
Incredible close-up of a turkey and my favorite part is the beak for some reason, perhaps because it is the only subtle thing on the bird's head. I'm going to detour away from gorgeous and/or beautiful on this one because turkey heads look a like a horrible creature from another planet dreamed up in the mind of 1950's sci-fi movie art director. But I will say again, you nailed this "creature" to the wall. Stay safe out there!

Awesome colours and details.
Happy Thanksgiving Artie and thanks for keeping up the inspiration mate!
Just one thing... you forgot to add EXIF data. I bet this was the 800mm!
Have a good one mate!
Thanks again all. Actually, Peter Kes drove Denise and I up to ABQ for our great lunch. Ate too much, over-corrected with insulin, and almost bought the farm :) No kidding. Some sugar water and dinner and all is A-OK.

Hey, glad to see you use the 2x. Many folks complain it's not sharp enough on a 500/4L. I kind of chuckle a bit at that and believe that most issues can be attributed to the users and not the glass. Any thoughts you could share? Thanks! :)
I LOVE the absolute sharpness & detail in this. Colours are awesome too.
Tack, tack sharp, and the detail and colours in this are simply stunning. An opportunity well used.
Terrific portrait Artie. Loved the sharpness and colors.

Just as I thought Artie. Thank you Sir! Enjoy the rest of the trip! :)
That is one sharp turkey. Colors are awesome too. Still not something one could call beautiful. Prefer them roasted and sliced on my plate. :)
It was great meeting and chatting with you last week at Bosque. Best, JR
