This is another image from my backyard set-up. I haven't seen them around for three weeks. All C&Cs are appreciated and welcome.

An elusive little bird that I've been chasing around for years to no avail. The perch is a beauty and I can't wait to see it with a little Canada snow flakes all around. The nuthatch looks like he is in a bit of a bad mood...nose upturned and all. I hope you didn't say something wrong.:) Thanks Jim.

Nice pose and composition I really like the bg as it compliments the bird.

    Hi Jim,
lovely perch (and unusual, at least it would be for our European nuthatch, as they rarely leave the bark of tree etc.) and perfect background - well done!
    Regards
    Andreas.

    Jim:

Sharp, well exposed, interesting pose, does look a bit miffed as pointed out by Danny.

The perch is colorful and interesting, without overpowering the bird.

    Cheers

I love this species, probably my favorite "resident" species here (one that does not migrate and found year-long). We have a spot locally where they will feed right out of your hand!

Nice photo, good perch and pose. Excellent comp, I like it as is. Only thing for me is that I think a slight boos in saturation would be good here. Alternatively, you could use the sponge tool (soft brush at about 8% flow) and use it on the orange breast of the nuthatch.

    Well done!

Now thats a stately pose Jim, and I like how the nuthatch is perched right on top. Good placement in the frame, and against another fantastic BG.

Jim, I'll just echo what the others have said. Looks great, and I love the slight diagonal of the perch.
