Hi Harshad, lucky for us that live in Africa that you only visited for such a short time...otherwise you would have taken every picture there was to be taken :) Jokes aside, I like the framing, the light on the wildebeest, amazing that you got this at 1/40sec(is that really the right shutter speed or is there a typing mistake there?). Also captured the action here with the two animals facing each other. Did the hyena get the wildebeest, and did you get more frames, Harshad? I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the hyenas face.
cheers
Grant
Thanks Grant , 1/40 is correct :)

I will definately spend more WEEKS in Africa in 2011 :)
Another outstanding image, Harshad, especially HH at 1/40th sec. As Grant indicated, how you manage to capture so many "once in a lifetime" images is beyond me. Your talent is truly an inspiration to us all. I hope to see more in this series. Cheers.
Thanks for that link to the earlier image Harshad, I would have to say the first one is stronger for me. However the white of the wildebeest eye showing in this second post adds tension to the whole scene. Keep them coming...
cheers
Grant
Hi HB,
Another wonderful action shot that really tells a story as I look at the wound on the wildebeest. I hope the wilde was victorious. How did the interaction end?
DB
Good to see an image with interaction Harshad, nice one.
Although the Wildebeest is probably them most stupidest animal on the planet and is galactically challenged, with that wound and a snapping hyena at his every turn, you have to feel sorry for him/her as the eye is a real storyteller of pure fear.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Priceless terror on the wildebeest, and well done on capturing the action. I hope you look us up when you are in Africa next year.
Super stuff Harshad...What a great sighting!
Nice image Harshad. I like the wide open eye of the wildebeest and the posture of the hyena. Well done with the HH and settings.
Nice interaction captured well. HH @ 1/40 with no vr handled very well.

Nice action! Like that crazed look in the eye!
Great action shown here Harshad. VWD
Great action shot Harshad! Looks like a scene right out of The Lion King though real rather than animated.
