Personally Todd I would go tighter in, to really highlight the detail & colour within the image you have captured, I don't think having/showing part of the body adds too much and IMHO slightly dilutes the content. Although, is this already cropped or FF?

    These guys are photogenic.

    Todd,

I tighter crop would be powerful here but I like how you presented it as well. The head and part torso fit well in the frame. What I would have preferred is for the rams to have turned the head away from you a bit to (a) remove the shadow on the face and (b) not have the horn tip near the mouth.

Wonderful BG that goes so well with his color.

Hi Todd, I think this is a pretty strong shot, however I agree with Robert re the horn protruding behind the face. Really liked the textures and curve of the horns, and the BG is perfectly complimentary..

    Todd,

Beautiful portrait of a powerful animal and the single prominent color of the beast and bokeh make the image unique. The eyes of the RAM are very intense, as usual with this species. I had to look for a second to figure out that the end of the horn was coming around the backside of the mouth. Once I realized what I was looking at I thought it was kind of cool. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Steve image has been cropped but should be able to handle a bit more.

Nice portrait Todd. A handsome ram with a complimentary BG.
