This is almost full frame Sid. Any suggestion on cropping? My composition skill is so bad. :p

Juan, I have been working a lot, only get to shoot on Saturday, sometimes Sunday. Go out whenever I get some free time.

I went back and forth on every crop I tried. Did not see anything I really like. I guess we are in same boat here.

Troy, since you mentioned this is basically full-frame, then I give you high marks on composing in-camera. And I love that BG! Cool to get this close to a caracara.

    Cheers,

Greg, thank you. I am going to play with the crop a bit more.

Troy, terririf BG and shooting angle. I think a slightly higher angle would have worked too....if u were getting the same BG.

If mine I'd crop a tad from below and right.

    Troy,

A real beauty as you've posted it and your composition goes along the lines of what I would have chosen. The little head cock and nonchalant look it is giving you make this a keeper. The background is very nice as well. Also, the muted color of this bird is wonderful. Sweet shot.

Good background, good low angle, plenty of details in the plumage, unusual head-on, "sad" look. Good job, Troy.
