    Default Photoshop

    I am brand new to photoshop. What version sould I look for to start with? What feautes should I look for? I dont mind buying somthing that I can grow into. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Cody,

    The current version is CS5. If you've never had photoshop before you consider taking a course at a local community college. Check with the college first, but likely you can purchase photoshop at an educational discount, probably saving money with the cost of the course + photoshop less than the full price of photoshop.

    I started out with Elements and when I felt comfortable with it moved up to the full version

    I echo Roger's comments about the educational discount, which is significant. PS is the de facto industry standard and there is much to grow into. Enjoy the journey.
