    Recently I was in Kerala, South India, and the male Grey Junglefowl was a target photo ... the holes in the hide were head height only ... !!

    Nice to see some the domestics' wild cousins out and about in nature. Great plumage on this guy, and check out the huge spur! Image is overexposed though...you could reduce the exposure by quite a bit, and perhaps warm it up a tad too.

    Wow....check out the spurs on this guy and I love those colors. As mentioned above the image is overexposed and might require some serious skill to recover. Very interesting shot of a bird I never see so thanks for showing it to us.

    Yes, somewhat over-exposed ... the brightness on my laptop monitor is too low at present ... !!

    As for the hackles ... quite impressive. They are said to be used in fighting with other males but surely have a more functional application when it comes to searching for food in the undergrowth.
