Peter - wow, the wind really comes through and does look like it made for tough conditions. Well done, great POV and comp.

Beautiful image, well composed, good POV, raised paw a plus

Peter,
This is a truly remarkable image congratulations on not only being there but capturing it so perfectly.
A stunner, Peter. The head in the wind, pale light, muted dusty looking sky. Seeing the lion's pads on the raised foot is nice touch also. Excellent image.
Well done Peter. exposure, detail and comp look good.

LIke the light the the wind blowing through lion. Like what is going on in the background as well.
Hi Peter, now this is a real corker of an image, love the pastel, soft light, the raised paw and just that whole 'windswept' feel/look. I think 'Big Congrats' comes to mind on this one.
Please don't think about a B/W route on this one :D
Love it.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Peter, this shows Etosha at its best, the harsh dry inviroment & the force of the wind trying to push him backwards.
A excellent image![]()
Peter, this is perfection. While I am not normally a pastel kinda guy :o this is simply perfectly emotive. You can feel the wind and the dust in the air, and the lion is tack sharp!!![]()
Cheers, Jay

Peter,
This is an image that I'm used to seeing in a high-dollar advertising campaign; as professional as it gets and compelling beyond expectation. Your choice of a semi-pano crop really takes it to a higher level and I love the way the beast is just heading across the frame with the wind in its face. The photo has an almost washed out look which exemplifies the conditions well. Thanks for sharing this winner. Nature's Best?

all been said Peter - lovely image, colours, pose, layers and windswept feel all come together nicely :)
Hi Peter, stunning shot, different from but brings to mind the famous shot of the male lion in a windstorm taken by Nat Geo photog Chris Johns some years ago....
Well done
Grant
Killer image Peter for all the reasons mentioned. I love the way the lion is so sharp against that BG. Well done.
Absolutely crisp and beautiful! Love the colors especially...the lion's color just melts comfortably in the whole frame! Thanks for sharing!

It has all been said before but this is just beautiful. One of the most emotive and expressive environmental lion shots I've seen. Put this in the exhibition with your Etosha elephants … or an Etosha book.
