Taken in the Kruger Park a while ago, one of my earlier images with this lens.

30D/EF500f4/f8@1/1250/iso400 - hand held from vehicle about 50% FF.

    C&C most welcome.

Mate this held up very nicely considering the crop size. Wonderful blurred wingtips. Love the concentration and it's interesting to see your species has more orange feet than ours; which are yellow. Congrats! :)

The bird is spot on, I would like the sky to be more interesting (I'm British).

Excellent exposure and detail, especially the eye area! :)

I like the details in the gray plumage and the blurred left wingtip. I'd like more eye contact, and I don't know exactly how I feel about that right wing.

Sharpness excellent, esp. considering the crop, and the exposure seems spot on. I like the blurred left wing, but would like to see more of the right one.

I see what look to be blotchy artifacts in the sky on my monitor, esp. on the left side of the frame. Are they clouds or mist, perhaps, that have been sharpened?

Hi Pieter, typical hovering posture that you have captured well. I just love their red eyes, and well exposed on the underwing of the near wing. Another species I dont have. :o

Thanks for the feedback and comments guys much appreciated. Agree I would have liked more of the far wing as well. John I see what you have pointed out - no processing done in that area only NR. Perhaps your explanation fits but I have been back to the RAW and can't see anything. Will process from RAW again and see what happens.
